Of course, I am very far behind in that, but I'm not quitting yet! Two things I have found very helpful in writing so far:
- Post-rock music. I'm a big fan of this genre of music, and it's good background to keep going. Most of these songs are instrumental (no distracting words), but have enough of a beat to keep you feeling motivated. Tonight I've been digging Sky Flying By.
- Write or Die. With the help of this tonight, I did 1,000 words in 34 minutes. I'm sure that most of it is crap, but it suits the prevailing wisdom of quantity over quality.
- Competition. A few friends are competing in order to get this done. One person is faaar ahead, but again - not giving up!
